The Big 40

When I stepped on the scale this morning, it said I've lost exactly 40 pounds. I didn't believe it so I ran down into the basement and hopped on the other scale and the needle bounced around the 39-40 mark. I guess it's true. And after having a Frappuccino yesterday. (370 empty, but delicious, calories.) My weight will probably bounce around going up and down 2 or 3 pounds until it settles. Or it can keep going down. I would appreciate that. Still have to get the exercise part of the lifestyle going. Today's non-traditional exercise wlll be moving wood from the woodpile to the pallet. And shoveling the sidewalks. And maybe raking the roof for that uber-tricep workout.

Sunny left yesterday for his convention. He's getting the royal treatment from vendors. Dinners at places I've always wanted to eat at, drinks at fun bars, tours of cool stores, a Broadway show and a freaking car sent to take him to a bigwig's house in Connecticut to watch the Packer game. Well, he's worked hard enough in the trenches for long enough to reap the rewards. I won't begrudge him that. I can begrudge him the company that he keeps though. Just saying....

Our marriage counseling appointment was cancelled the morning of it because the therapist had strep throat. I cried after I hung up. Huge disappointment because I really wanted to get things out in the open before this trip. Why does the universe hate me??? I haven't rescheduled yet.

I took the Christmas tree down. That was painful. I seperated the ornaments into his, hers and ours. That way I can grab my stuff and go if it comes to that. I guess the "our" box I'll toss in the driveway and back over on my way out the door. 20 Christmas's of memories meet Goodyear.

The dogs are going into the kennel today. I'm spending the night at the cabin tomorrow and want to be alone. And I'm working on the master bath finally, so I don't need their "help". I think paint and dogs don't mix. And I can't keep Bizzy out of anything for long, the little shit.

Well, that's all I have for now. Remember, blondes have more fun, but brunettes remember it the next day.
